Founder
FileMap was founded by Yıldırım Yazganarikan, a designer with a background in architecture, and industrial design. He previously worked at Autodesk’s Technology Center in San Francisco, leading projects that integrated software, and hardware. After years of working with creative teams, he saw how traditional file systems failed to support the evolving nature of design work. FileMap was created to provide a more visual and flexible environment—one that makes the design, research, and imagination process visible as projects evolve.
Vision
To redefine our relationship with digital files by transforming the desktop into a visual thinking environment—an infinite, zoomable canvas that merges local files, cloud folders, and creative tools. FileMap aims to replace outdated file systems with a spatial, intuitive interface that supports how visual thinkers truly imagine, organize, and collaborate—turning the desktop into a second brain for creative work.
